Amerisource Receives 2002 Southwestern Bell Award

Houston, TX – Amerisource announces that it has received the 2002 Southwestern Bell Award for revenue growth and jobs creation.
The award was announced today at the annual celebratory luncheon at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. Over 1,000 people in the Houston area business community attended the luncheon, which was sponsored by Comerica Bank, Southwestern Bell, the Houston Business Journal and the Greater Houston Partnership.
The Southwestern Bell Award for revenue growth and jobs creation is an annual award sponsored by Southwestern Bell. This is the second consecutive year that Amerisource has received the award, an unprecedented accomplishment over the last 10 years.

Amerisource was honored for several other awards at the luncheon as well, including making The Houston 100 list and ranking #1 on the list of absolute revenue growth of companies in the greater Houston area for fiscal years 1999-2001. Amerisource posted revenues in excess of $102 million in fiscal year 2001 and revenue growth of 88 percent (88%) over the three-year period.
