Release date: November 6, 2003
Houston, TX – Amerisource announced today that, for the second year in a row, Inc. magazine has named Amerisource to its annual Inc. 500 list.
Inc. magazine released the annual index today for fiscal year 2002 in a Special Edition magazine. The index lists the 500 fastest growing private companies in the United States, measured by revenue growth over the previous five-year period. The Inc. 500 Special Issue appeared on newsstands today and will be on display until January 2004.
With revenues in excess of $115million in fiscal year 2002 and revenue growth of 376 percent (376%) over the five-year period, Amerisource was recognized as #446 on the list.
“The companies on the Inc. 500 list this year are quite remarkable in that they have managed to thrive in a sluggish economy,” said Michael Monk, Managing Director of Amerisource. “These are the companies that are changing the way American companies compete in today’s global economy. And these are the companies who will also be the driving force in our economic recovery. It’s an honor for Amerisource to be recognized with these business leaders.”
Jason Floyd, Managing Director of Amerisource, commented “The last several years have really been milestones for our organization. Not only have we continued to build our organization, but we have assisted countless small businesses to build their organizations, in spite of a stagnating economy. Our success is, literally, the culmination of all of the successes of our growing clients.”
